I will not have to spend any money on this project. Luckily, I am able to borrow equipment from the college. If I were not able to borrow the equipment I would have had to spend money on a high quality camera, studio set-up, sound equipment, tripod etc. from a supplier at a price. However, if I was creating a film for the music industry (e.g. MTV) I would have had to have leased equipment.
If I were making this music video for MTV, all of the costumes would have to have been purchased from the budget. However, as I did not have a budget the artist will wear clothes he already owns. I would also have to take into account travel / petrol costs as this would have come out of the budget, as well as all the equipment I borrowed from the media department. I would have had to lease the camera and tripod for a fee.
These are all things I have to take into account when making my music video. Fortunately for me I am able to borrow a lot of the equipment, costume and props I need. However, If I were making this in the media industry I would have to consider using a budget, especially when leasing equipment and props.
Basic discussion of budget.
