Album Name Analysis

I have analysed album names to form an idea of what my target audience will expect. Here are a few along with some of the band names:

Out of all the album names I analysed many of them were just names taken from a song on their albums, some however were original names. I have chosen to go with an original name of just one word, like 'Antidotes' and 'Ceremonials'. Lee has chosen the name 'Portraits', as he agrees that an original album name will represent the target audience of indie music fans.

Deciding where to place the album name/artist name, was quite simple as many of the album covers I analysed place the artist name at the top and the album title at the bottom. For example:

The font used in album cover names are usually fonts that are commonly used, or drawn/designed by hand. I have chosen to go down the road of 'The Smiths' album covers and use the font 'Georgia', for example:

As The Smiths are indie icons it is fitting to gain inspiration from them.
